Also known as Larvikite, this pi stone is beautiful natural blue labradorite with grey/black background and chatoyant grey-blue flash. A type of feldspar with Mohs hardness of 6 to 6-1/2, this striking gemstone is named for the Larvik Fjords in Norway where it was first discovered in the 1880s, and where major deposits are still found. Machine-cut and drilled for consistent size, shape and drilling. Pi Stones are symbolic of our luminous bodies and the energetic universe. Their circular shape represents the archetype for “wholeness.” They represent the ouroboros, serpent of light, swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle. They symbolize the eternal unity of all things, the cycle of life, death and rebirth.

The center represents our energetic spine, Kundalini energy, that flows through the center of our bodies. Kundalini energy is symbolic of our own spiraling DNA and is associated with the serpent of light coiled around the base of the spine (root chakra) approximately 3.142 times. When it is awakened, it spirals up your spine like a figure eight around each of your seven chakras, creating a never ending loop, opening you to higher levels of consciousness.

About Munay-Ki

The Munay-Ki are nine ancient rites that, until recently, were only available to the high wisdom-keepers of the Americas. In 1989, the Laika--the original keepers of these rites and the last descendants of the Inka descended from their high Andes mountain refuges to Cusco, Peru to attend Inti Raimi, a festival held on winter solstice (June 21). These high and holy people were thought to have perished centuries ago when the Spanish overwhelmed the Inka empire. Instead, they retreated to the harsh environment of the Andes and lived in small villages at high mountain elevations. They brought with them the warning of the Pachakuti--the great turning over of 2012--and the tools to survive it: the rites of the Munay-Ki and the teachings of the energetic realm.

Their ancient prophesies told that during this great turning over (it was said it might be a time of the harvesting of souls), a new species of human would appear on the planet.
