Native American Shamans have practiced energy medicine for thousands of years. Alberto Villoldo Ph.D., a medical anthropologist and psychologist, founded The Four Winds Society & The Light Body School after spending more than 30 years in the high Andes and the Amazon, training with master shamans. Dr. Villoldo subsequently established The Four Winds, and began certifying faculty members in the instruction and experiential learning of the modern day shaman.
Dr. Alberto Villoldo studied with a number of the Laika elders to distill the essence of their healing practices of energy medicine. He trained with the jungle medicine people and traveled and collected stories and healing practices from the Nazca region to Lake Titcaca, the Sea on Top of the World, which legends say the Inka were born.
Working with Don Antonio Alberto reconstructed the many threads of the Laika healing traditions to create a set of sacred technologies that transform the body, heal the soul, and can change the way we live and the way we die. They explain that we are surrounded by a Luminous Energy Field (LEF) whose source is located in infinity, a matrix that maintains the health and vibrancy of the physical body.
In the East, these imprints are known as karma, forces that sweep through our lives like a giant tide that we cannot swim free of. These imprints contain instructions that predispose us to repeating certain events from the past. We can learn where these energy imprints are located in the Luminous Energy Field, and how to erase them so that the body, mind, and spirit can return to optimal health. When the Luminous Energy Field is 'clear' and in a state of wellness, our bodies and souls remain strong, glowing, and disease-free. Luminous Healing enhances the immune system and accelerates the healing of emotional wounds. Goal: To understand how the mind, body, and spirit work together to create health or disease. Learning Objectives: explore ancient healing modalities of the Peruvian Andes, describe how imprints occur and organize within the Luminous Body, and learn how to open and close 'sacred space.'
