Chumpi Stones

Delicately hand-carved, alabaster-like stone set of seven sacred chumpi stones, used as ceremonial healing stones.  Each stone measures approximately 1.5 - 2.5 inches and features a delightful variety of Peruvian motifs carved into their surface.  Slight chipping on some of the pieces but does not detract from your use as artes on your mesa. Handmade in Peru.

Hand Carved set of 12 chumpi stones. The set of 12 chumpis are associated with 12 essential realms and connect with the 12 sacred mountains in the Sacred Valley near Cusco. Comes with beautiful mastana (each cloth is unique and may vary from the cloth shown), beaded watana (tie) and rattle.

Our seven point chumpi stone is patiently and skillfully carved from what the people of Peru call meteorite stone. Physically this stone is very heavy and energetically very alive. The seven points represent the position the stone takes on a shaman's sacred mesa cloth (in relation to other stones), and in turn, the specific mountain of the twelve mountains which surround Cusco.  The mountain associated with 7 is Apu Machu Picchu.   Hand crafted in Peru.
