Our intricately hand carved, alabaster-like stone tile features the three revered Incan animal totems of the three worlds: Sachamama, the Serpent, representing the lower world; Otorongo, the Jaguar, denizen of the middle world; and Apuchin, the Eagle-Condor, soaring in the upper world. These three representatives are carved in bas relief over many other symbols of Andean cosmology, such as the hummingbird, sun and moon. Masterly hand carved stone piece of Twelve Mountain peaks embodying the energy of the Apus (mountain spirits) and the Andean cosmology and symbology by Cusco shamanic artists Abelardo & Luz Marina. Each peak is identified on the piece. A three leaf symbol of the kintu, the coca leaves used often in ceremony, is carved onto the bottom of the arte. Crafted in Peru.
Cute and curious carved disc featuring what appears to be a sea dragon with bulging eyes and curved tail looking directly at you. This different orientation of the dragon is a unique aspect of this piece which also features other intricate carvings and a hole for affixing to a garment or other cloth fastener.
