The chakana, or Inca Cross, is a powerful symbol of the Andes' ancient cultures and is considered the most complete sacred geometrical design for the Incas. This symbol is often seen at ancient sites and sacred centers though out the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. This piece is made from "Machu Picchu stone" - similar to serpentine. Hand carved in Peru.
The frog is one of the revered animals in the Incan cosmology, representing one of their three realms, the area beneath the ground. This one, with his mouth open and tongue poised for striking his lunch, is hand carved in Peru. A nice addition to your mesa. Slight variation from image may occur due to the hand made nature of the product.
Our intricately detailed, hand carved, alabaster-like stone piece features the revered Incan animal totem Amaru, the serpent. Amaru rests in a coiled position, holding its sacred position as the totem animal of the underworld. Expertly carved by shamanic artists, Abelaro and Luz Marina. Keep Amaru in the south on your mesa or altar. Peruvian made.
