This flat round polished pi stone is worn by some on a cord around the neck as a pendant. Sometimes called a gemstone donut or bagel, it is also used in the Munay Ki Rite ceremony with which some students of shamanism are gifted during ceremony. The circular or torus shape of the piece is rich in symbolism and meaning, representing our luminous bodies and the energetic universe. Its circular shape represents the archetype for “wholeness.” It represents the ouroboros, serpent of light, swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle. It also represents the eternal unity of all things, the cycle of life, death and rebirth.
