Solid and sturdy. Our heavy, hand carved black incense burning bowl is fashioned from a very dark and dense metallic stone called Hiwaya in Quechua, an Andean language. Its properties are similar to those of hematite which grounds and protects us and strengthens our connection with Pachamama, making us feel safe and secure. It endows us with courage, strength, endurance and vitality. The handles of this bowl are the carved heads of Llama, regarded as a sacred service animal among certain South American people. The depth, weight and material of this bowl make it perfect for burning resin and powdered incense. Filled with sand, it could also be used for stick and solid incense too. A versatile piece for your sacred offerings. Made in Peru.
Our Shaman smudge bowls are made in India from buffalo horn, which is a waste product. Buffalo are as highly regarded as cows in India, and would never be killed for their horns, meat, hides, etc. Horns used to make our Shaman smudge bowls are only from animals that have died from natural causes. The unique designs on the bowls are imprinted using a heat process.
Simple soapstone essential oil diffuser is designed with aromatherapy practitioners in mind. Soapstone is a soft stone, perfect for carving. It retains heat well and is 100% fire-proof. Consists of two pieces, a bowl/dish which fits into a cutout on top of the enclosure for your candle. Use the heat of a burning tea candle to warm and disperse the fragrance of essential oils and blends of your choice. Simple and elegant. Tea candles sold separately. India.
