To the local people of the Amazon, pink river dolphins are botos, shape shifters, that in the guise of human desire, claim your soul and take you to the Encante, an enchanted underwater world. The ancient Incan sun god, Inti, was worshipped as a patron deity of the Incan empire. 

Our earth-friendly ceremonial rattle is hand etched and constructed by the artist in Peru and pays hommage to both the dolphin and the sun. This one is wound on the chonta wood handle next to the gourd bowl with colorful cotton threads.  The molted feathers of Amazon birds adorn the handle tip. Each piece is a unique work of art and has it own sound.  Your rattle may vary slightly from photo shown in that the dolphin image may be left facing instead of right.  Sizes vary due to the natural variation of gourds and handmade nature of the rattle.
