Jorge Barraco
Jorge Barraco is a renowned Argentino silversmith who has been working over 30 years in the town of Cafayate in Argentina. His unique works are purchased by Argentines and foreigners alike. Among his fine art and decorative objects, was a silver cross purchased by the Cornejo family and gifted to Pope John Paul II during his visit to Salta. Other famous customers include the Japanese ambassador who took time every year to visit Baracco’s shop. The former Argentine Secretary of Culture, Jose Nun, also bought souvenirs from Barraco. Among his important works are ornaments with the images of the Virgin of the Miracle and the Lord of Miracles that are displayed and explained in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary.
