A fine example of a single chamber Peruvian whistling vessel. Designed in ceramic clay, the piece is hollow with a rounded bottom and a tapering neck. Blowing into the chamber through the top produces the whistling sound. The body of the vessel is decorated with fine carved lines in vee shapes forming a collar around the top of the rounded section. The top has dots pressed into the surface. The center of the piece has nine buds and a tenth is in the shape of an unknown animal head. From the home of a private collector.
