"I had a dream of walking in the woods and discovering a piece of wood or antler with stones growing from either end - a rare natural object - an object anyone might stumble upon, pick up, and recognize as having wonderful healing energy."
This was the dream that propelled my friend Bob Whall (aka Ra Moonhawk) onto the path of master wandsmith. Bob's wands are absolutely unique and wonderful creations. Each one hums with its own energy. I've purchased them for myself and as gifts for others. I've seen people pick them up in amazement. It's not difficult to feel to feel the power in these creations.
Bob started making wands with two goals. he wanted to always create sacred space, and he wanted to make wands that were more than a handful of parts lumped together. He had seen other wands, and, while he may have admired their beauty, he wanted his wands to be different.
I can attest to his success. Though my pictures don't do them justice, his wands range in size from hefty two foot long power tools to petite pocket wands of under three inches. He chooses stone combinations with an intuitive understanding that is seldom less than inspired. He attaches stones with a special process that is smooth and seamless - giving the impression that the stones are growing out of the antler or piece of wood. Sometimes Bob carves feathers, stars, snakes, symbols, or even words into the wands. He let's the wand tell him what it needs.
"Crystal, amethyst, and deer energies are all wonderful healing tools - together even more so - but as a wand they make a quantum leap to a single entity that is so much more," Bob explains. "this leap has nothing to do with me or anyone else who makes wands. It's the stones and other energies - showing they not only have power but wisdom, as well."
Each wand is ritually cleansed, cleared, and prepared before Bob offers it for sale. You can email us and tell us what you are looking for. Bob may have a perfect wand already or he may choose to craft a new one. You can request stones that are important to you or you can trust Bob's judgment. He has a good intuitive sense for these things.
