Our silvery White Tara statue is made from a resin and hydrostone mix. Her white color signifies purity, wisdom and truth. It is said White Tara was born from a tear of the Boddhisatwa of compassion, Avalokiteswora. She holds a very prominent position in Tibet and Nepal. Here she is seated on a cushion of lotus flower pedals in the diamond lotus position, with both legs folded under her and her feet facing skyward. You can see eyes engraved on her forehead, each hand and her foot, symbolizing her compassionate vigilance to see all the world's suffering. Her left hand is in the protective mudra and her right in the wish-granting mudra. Tara is believed to protect all beings while they are crossing the ocean of existence. A perfect addition to your home altar. Hand made in Nepal.Learn More$27.95
