Like the despacho cloth, the Q'ero use other plain-woven pieces of cloth to carry goods and food. This cloth is an example of the Q'ero carrying cloth, usually woven in more subtle, natural shades and without tassels or pom-poms at the four corners. Previously owned, this cloth bears the signs of wear from its former owner, giving it a classic broken in look. Woven in the high Andes of Peru.

Colorful Ocongate-style mestana bound on all four sides with contrasting color edge with pattern. Some diamond designs are filled with the t'ika or flower motif.  Hand made in Peru.

This simple despacho cloth is woven with fibers in colorful rainbow shades and features a traditional t'ika (flower) pattern, representing protection, in its center band. Sewn with corner tassels on each corner and a bound edging on two sides.  Handwoven by the native Q'ero of Peru.
