This is the latest model 1782. The 4500 has been replaced by the 2 Speed model 1782. The new model includes a lower price point, upgraded and improved recipe book, and improved faceplate graphics.
This is the new version of the Vitamix 1782 TurboBlend Blender (replaces 4500). This includes a new BPA-Free Carafe made by Eastman Tritan material, a new lid-locking mechanism which makes locking and releasing the lid incredibly easy, a brand new healthy recipe book, new faceplate graphics, and a new cooler running motor (less heat and longer run times!).
The Vitamix 1782 TurboBlend Blender (replaces 4500) is quite possibly the most versatile, high powered, and well constructed blender on the market. The machine itself is actually pretty simple and to the point. It has a two speed motor (switches) and an on/off switch. While the cost on this blender is pretty high we feel that once you use this blender you are guaranteed to see and feel the difference.
This comes with one of the most impressive recipe books that we offer. The addition of this recipe book certainly adds part of the value to this unit.
The motor of this unit is so powerful yet so balanced that you don't even need to hold the base for dear life! Just push the button and let it do its thing!
