The summer solstice is a time with powerful energies of the longest day of the year. The sun and Earth align in a way to assist the growth of all things to come to their fullness. We are all one, so that includes YOU as well as all of nature. Focus on themes of fulfillment, enlightenment, abundance, sharing, and the joy of living on this beautiful Earth home. All of this solar power fires up our passions, brighten our lives, and awakens awareness to the abundant potential of life.
Include drums, rattles, dancing and celebrating. Make it into a drum circle if you have a large group of people and inspire one another to move. A drum circle is a great way to entertain people as well as raising energy and relieving stress. Be sure to provide refreshments for afterwards as it can be tiring for some people.
Create a sacred space to honor the sun and all of the abundance provided this time of year. Include candles, midsummer fruits and vegetables, brightly colored flowers, sun symbols, anything that makes you feel summer.
Place your favorite tea in a glass container to be brewed in and by the sun. Fill your jar or pitcher with water, place your herbs into the jar and set outside to infuse. Let the magic of the solstice sun infuse your creation and provide you with high vibrational tea.
Go out and tune into a flower you are resonating with, using your intuition to feel if you have permission to pick the flowers. Fill a glass bowl, or jar, with water and place the flowers in. Allow it to sit in direct sunlight for 3-4 hours. This will allow the vibrational energy of the flower to expand into the water. Strain the water and add the same amount of Brandy to preserve it. Label your jar with the flower and date. You can transfer this essence to a dropper bottle to carry with you. A few drops is all you need to carry the energy structure of the flower. Drop a few drops into your water and sip throughout the day!
Invite friends and family over for a fresh meal full of summer fruits and veggies. Have everyone bring a dish to pass.
Gather orange, red, and yellow flowers…sticks…stones…leaves and CREATE! Arrange them in circular patterns on the ground as an offering to mother earth. As you do this infuse them with prayers of peace for our planet.
Take some time to go to the woods or a park and walk some trails. Experience Pachamama in full bloom and bring offerings (tobacco, dried flowers, sage) to place along the way. Take your time! Slowly make your way along the trails and enjoy the journey without worrying about completing the trail. Be open to any messages you receive.
