How 27 mornings of devotion on Kauai became the second activation of every essence

Inside Kadavul Temple at Kauai's Hindu Monastery lives one of the most extraordinary objects on Earth: a naturally formed clear quartz Sivalingam weighing about 700 pounds. The monastery describes it as the largest six-sided, single-pointed crystal ever found. It was discovered in Arkansas in 1987, after Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami had seen it in his dreams.
The monks of Kadavul Temple have performed puja every three hours, day and night, since 1973.

For years this crystal, the Earthkeeper, rested in Kadavul Temple, held in an unbroken field of devotion. It was into this field that Georgia Putnam brought each of the 27 Nakshatra Temple Essences.
Where the Calling Began
Years before India, before the essences existed, something else at Kadavul Temple first stirred Georgia's journey: a hand-carved wooden Nakshatra wheel. Its outer ring held the 27 star constellations, with planetary gem spheres in their current positions and the Earth at its center.

Each morning at the opening of puja, a Swami moved the gem spheres to match the sky and chanted to the nakshatra where the Moon was that day. It was a living, daily conversation with the 27 stars, and it awakened in Georgia a deep calling to understand them.
Twenty-Seven Mornings
After her pilgrimage to the 27 Nakshatra temples of southern India, Georgia was guided to return directly to Kauai. For 27 consecutive mornings she sat at puja, bringing the copper orb and each essence into the Earthkeeper's field on the very morning the Moon was in that essence's nakshatra.
I was guided to return from India and go directly to the Kauai temple to sit at Morning Pooja for 27 days straight, to charge each gem essence again with the orb in the presence of the Earthkeeper Crystal on the morning when the Moon was in its Nakshatra.

Each morning she arrived with flowers gathered fresh from the gardens of Kauai: hibiscus, heliconia, plumeria, bird of paradise, ginger torch. They were offerings of gratitude to the stars and to the crystal that held the space.

This is why each essence is twice blessed: first in the ancient temple of its star in southern India, then again at Kadavul Temple as the Moon passed through that same star.
