Exquisite craftsmanship by ethnomusicologist Jose Vitancio Humeres. He created this replica of a polyphonic antara from the Nazca culture with three colors and thirteen hyperbolic tubes. Considered to be a large antara, measuring 11.5 x 8.5 inches and weighing 1 pound and 6 ounces.

Born in Cuzco, graduated in Administration and International Business, specialist musician in traverse flute and recognized as a Quechua ethnomusicologist by the San Antonio Abad National University of Cuzco. For more than 20 years he has carried out studies of pre-Hispanic musical instruments from ancient pre-Hispanic cultures such as Chavín, Moche, Nazca, Chincha and Inca to replicate musical objects. His research is based on the work of leading specialists such as D'Harcourt, Bolaños, Aretz and Hickmann.

The Nazca culture was the archaeological culture that flourished from circa 100 BC to 800 AD on the southern coast of Peru, in the river valleys of the Rio Grande de Nazca drainage and the Ica Valley. This Pre-Columbian society is characterized by its polychrome pottery, painted with at least 12 distinct colors. The Nazca believed in powerful nature spirits who were thought to control most aspects of life. They visualized these nature spirits in the form of mythical beings, creatures having a combination of human and animal/bird/fish characteristics, and painted them onto their pottery.
