Masterly hand carved stone piece of Twelve Mountain peaks embodying the energy of the Apus (mountain spirits) and the Andean cosmology and symbology by Cusco shamanic artists Abelardo and Luz Marina. Each peak is identified on the piece. A three leaf symbol of the kintu, the coca leaves used often in ceremony, is carved onto the bottom of the arte. Comes with it own wool bag, color may vary. Crafted in Peru.
Apu means Lord or Mountain spirit, the tutelary nature deity of a village or region, inhabiting the peaks of the highest mountain, typically speaking of mountains in and around the Cusco, Peru area.
