Native Spirit is an inspired blend of Coastal Sages sustainably wildcrafted and indigenous to the foothills of Santa Barbara, California. Many of these plants were used by the Chumash Native Americans for medicinal and ceremonial purposes. The plant's leaves and flowers have been picked with integrity, honoring and giving thanks to mother earth, the pachamama, and the plant's spirit. This authentic, intricate, huayruro seed bead necklace was carefully and skillfully hand-made by the Shipibo-Conibo living in the Amazon rainforest creating a beautifully unique statement. The name of the seed comes from the name of the Huayruro plant, Ormosia sp., that grows in the Amazon rainforest.
Due to its handmade nature, the necklace ranges in length from 18.5 to 21 inches. Bead width is approximately 0.25 inches. There is a slight variation in bead color used for the loop and seed closure - some being white, orange and or black.
