Alto-Relievo or high-relief, is a classical form of sculpture where images protrude from the background. Chumpi stones are ancient healing stones that are used by some shamanic practitioners as rites of passage and in their ceremonial healings. Q'ero shamans believe that each mountain has its own spirit, which is represented in each of these seven stones. These are magnificent high-relief, hand-carved, alabaster stones.
