Our finely hand carved, alabaster-like round stone tile features the revered Incan animal totem Amaru, the serpent. Amaru rests coiled in bas relief on a background of other Andean symbols representing god of lightning, wind, coca leaf kintu, protection for the home, sacred hummingbird, and agricultural field crop furrows and others. The outer carved ring around the piece represents the twelve Sacred apus, or spirits, of the Andean mountains. Expertly carved by shamanic artists, Abelardo and Luz Marina in Peru.
