Thread-knotted in traditional style with red tassel, this Rudraksha rosary is best for doing Japa or chanting mantras to all deities. You may keep the healing mala in your puja altar for positive vibrations or as a garland for your deity idol. You may also wear it around your neck. It is best to avoid wearing this with other Rudraksha combinations.

How To Use

Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree whose seed is traditionally used to make malas (usually 108 beads in number). The term is used both for the berries themselves and as a term for the type of mala made from them. In this sense, a rudraksha is a rosary, used for repetitive prayer (Japa), a common aid to worship in Hinduism. Rudrakshas also used for the treatment of various diseases in traditional Indian medicine. Rudraksha malas have been used by Hindus (as well as Sikhs and Buddhists) as rosaries at least from the 10th century for meditation purposes and to sanctify the mind, body and soul. The word rudraksha is derived from Rudra (Shiva, the Hindu god of all living creatures) and aksha (eyes). One Hindu legend says that once Lord Shiva opened His eyes after a long period of yogic meditation, and because of extreme fulfillment, He shed a tear. This single tear from Shiva's eye grew into the rudraksha tree. The Five-Faced Rudraksha: The five-faced Rudraksha is blessed by Lord Shiva himself in the form of Kalagni Rudra. It affects all major chakras in bioplasmic body. It is said to control the five elements in the human body (fire, water, air, sky and Earth). Five faced Rudraksha bead is associated with the planet Jupiter and is therefore used to remove the malefic effects of Jupiter. It is the most common Rudraksha and is available in abundance.
