Each bowl is made of seven traditional metals representing different celestial influences: Gold, the sun; Silver, the moon; Mercury, Mercury; Copper, Venus; Iron, Mars; Tin, Jupiter; and Lead, Saturn.

These singing bowls produce a wonderful singing or humming sound when hit, tapped, struck or rubbed by a wooden striker, mallet or dowel.
