Product Origin

Sage Wind Farms

Family owned and operated by Ken Taylor and Ellen Woodward-Taylor in the high desert mountains of San Diego County where wild White Sage grows naturally, we began cultivating our land for sage in 2008.

When we moved to our 40-acre ranch in the high desert of San Diego County, we noticed a proliferation of a plant that is native to the region. Called White Sage or Salvia apiana, it is also known as “Bee Sage”, “Magic Sage”, and “Sacred Sage”.

Our 40-acre farm is far enough from urban areas to have fresh air without pollution. Our water has lots of minerals which are required for White Sage to thrive; water that originally flushed the roots of desert plants like Salvia apiana before it became part of the natural aquifers in this region.
