Palo Santo Wood Essential Oil has a fine citrus aroma from naturally occurring limonene with underlying notes reminiscent of frankincense, its close relative. The wood and oil have distinct therapeutic benefits that are utilized in traditional ethnobotanical medicine of the Andes.

Our miniature huayruro seeds come pre-drilled with a hole lengthwise through the middle for use in stringing. They can also be used in ceremony. The name "Huayruro" derives from the seed of the Huayruro plant (Ormosia sp) that grows in the Amazon rainforest. This seed is characterized by being part red and part black, visually suggesting complementary and duality. Perhaps due to this unusual natural characteristic there has been the belief among Peruvians that these Huayruro seeds have the dual power to attract good fortune and ward off evil spirits.

Our Shipibo Amazon Jungle Seed Bead Necklace is made from black Choloque (Sapindus span aria) seeds, very tiny black beads, a single red huayruro seed, and an authentic crosswise cut piece of the ayahuasca plant vine fashioned as a pendant. Carefully and skillfully hand-made by the Shipibo-Conibo living in the Peruvian Amazon creating a beautifully unique statement.

Necklace length options: varies from 20-22.5 inches long and a 23-27 inch style.

Pendant ranges in size from 2 - 4" L by 2" W. Loop/seed closure.

Due to the Huayruro seed's delicate properties please avoid exposure to water.

Our fair trade, hand-carved gourd maraca rattles are made in Central Peru. The gourds grow in the warm central valleys of the Andes, the coastal oasis, and the jungles. After harvesting, they are dried, skinned, and sanded smooth. Artisans carve freehand on the surface, creating intricate designs. Hand-painted featuring a variety of different scenes, including birds, flowers, llamas, and other indigenous designs.
